Country Club mulls civilian street patrols

Residents in Country Club want to launch civilian patrols to crack down on drug activity in the area.

Anne Rescigno says she has lived in the neighborhood for 55 years and sees drug deals being made all the time.

The 45th Precinct patrols Country Club on horseback, but the Civil Association says it is not enough. By the time officers get to a scene, neighbors say it?s often too late.

Neighbors say they will discuss civilian patrols more seriously at the next Civic Association meeting on June 23.
