Mosquito invasion irks Kingsbridge Heights residents
Residents of Kingsbridge Heights are calling on city officials to clean up two abandoned construction sites in the area which they say have turned into a breeding ground for mosquitoes.

Sonia Lucano, who lives next to one of the empty lots on Sedgwick Avenue, says the property is filled with stagnant water, which attracts mosquitoes.
The Department of Health has issued three violations on the property since April, but residents say no action has been taken.
Neighbors are also concerned with a stalled construction site on Armand Place, which has become overgrown with weeds. DOH officials say they are currently inspecting the area for rats.
