Parents protest possible closing of P.S. 73

Parents and students protested the potential closing of an elementary school earlier today in the Highbridge section of the Bronx.

The school board threatened to close P.S. 73, citing problems with the school's curriculum. Parents say they are concerned that the school will close its doors by the fall.

PTA President Jose Gonzalez, who attended the protest, says the school has a broad curriculum and he will fight to keep the school open.

The school board will not make a decision until after this year's progress report.
