Pianos donated to P.S. 721X in the Bronx

Pianos used in the city's "Play Me, I'm Yours" program have been donated to a Bronx school for autistic and disabled children.

The program, which was sponsored by the non-profit "Sing for Hope" initiative, has donated three pianos to P.S. 721X, which works with autistic, emotionally disturbed and learning-disabled students.

Music teacher Andy Steinberg submitted a letter to "Sing for Hope" requesting a piano because the students have been asking for one as part of the school's creative music program. The program, Steinberg says, has helped the students become more focused, calm and engaged.
