Dry spell for BX residents after water main break
Residents of Hunts Point Avenue are still feeling the effects of last night's main break, which resulted in gallons of gushing water flooding the Bronx street.
The cause of the break is believed to be due to the construction work being done on Lafayette Avenue.
Residents complain they have low water pressure and are concerned that this issue will continue as long as there is construction going on.
The construction project, which requires water to be shut off for eight hours at a time, is expected to be completed by Aug. 2, but neighbors say it's too great of an inconvenience.
The Department of Environmental Conservation is investigating the exact cause of last night's main break.
