Wicked weather leaves damage in many Bronx neighborhoods

Several areas of the Bronx experienced damage from yesterday?s wicked weather.

Neighborhoods such as Pelham Bay and Williamsbridge had several trees that were knocked down. More than 3,000 Bronx customers lost power yesterday, according to Con Edison. Power to those residents has since been restored. The National Weather Service today confirmed that a tornado touched down in Riverdale. It is the second tornado ever recorded in the Bronx, the first occurring in 1974.
