222nd Street renamed for man killed 7 years ago

222nd Street was renamed today in honor of a man who was killed seven years ago. On March 21, 2003, authorities say Dean Christopher DeSimone was murdered by two intruders who invaded his auto body shop at 1460 222nd St.

The renaming ceremony was attended by members of his family, local business owners and City Councilman Larry Seabrook.

The district attorney says one man has been convicted in the murder and the other suspect is awaiting trial in September.
