Espada in hot seat after video shows angry outburst

A video making the rounds could put state Sen. Pedro Espada Jr. in the hot seat.

The video shows Espada talking back to protesters from the Metropolitan Council on Housing. At one point, the senator takes out money, crumples the bills and throws it at the crowd.

The video was shot by protesters who argue Espada does not support pro-tenant legislation. In an interview with News 12 The Bronx, Espada says the group, which he refers to as a pack of thugs, has continually harassed him and his staff from Albany to the Bronx.
