President Obama announces support of 9/11 health bill

(08/19/10) MORRIS PARK - President Barack Obama announced his support of the 9/11 Health and Compensation Act today.

His announcement comes just days after he spoke out about a mosque near Ground Zero. John Feal, a 9/11 worker, sent the president a letter saying "It is disturbing that you have the same time and energy to speak in favor of the mosque, but not on the health crisis caused by attacks."

Obama said he would sign the bill once it has passed through Congress. Supporters say this is the first time he has said he'd sign it since his campaign.
