BX family to hold memorial service one month after son's murder

(08/24/10) THE BRONX - A Bronx family is seeking justice tonight as the one-month anniversary of its son's murder approaches.

Police say Alberto Peña, 23, was gunned down around the corner from his home on 220th Street. Cops say they have no leads and are offering a $2,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest.

His family says it is not enough. "I think the police are working very slow, very slow on the case," said Peña's father. He says that's why he and his family are getting the word out themselves about the investigation.

The Peña family is holding a memorial service on Thursday, the one-month anniversary of the murder.
