Man puts brakes on Morris Park car break-in

One person is under arrest after a man stopped a car break-in last night in Morris Park. Frank Olivio says he noticed three men with a crowbar walking along Van Nest Avenue and looking into cars. According to Olivio, the men attempted to break into his girlfriend?s car, at which point he sounded the vehicle?s alarm from inside his house. Olivio followed the men down the street and called 911. Police later arrested 38-year-old Jose Vasquez in connection to the incident. According to Olivio, his girlfriend?s car has nearly $400 in damage. Neighbors say several other cars have been broken into within the last few months.
