Residents: Living conditions at Sotomayor Houses are an injustice

(09/01/10) SOUNDVIEW - Residents at the Justice Sonia Sotomayor Houses say they are livid over the disgusting conditions they are being forced to live in.

The residents at 1471 Watson Ave. complain that while the outside of the building looks nice, the inside is falling apart. They claim they see mice daily, their ceilings are falling apart and many of their refrigerators are working improperly or not at all.

They attribute part of the problem to the fact that the main offices for the complex are located nearly 10 blocks away. They are petitioning for an office to be placed on-site so they will have a place to go to file a complaint.
