BX residents wave goodbye to summer

(09/06/10) THE BRONX - Many Bronx residents spent Labor Day enjoying the final day that the city?s pools and beaches are open for the season.

Down at Orchard Beach, plenty of people soaked up the sun. Children played in the sand and families basked in the gorgeous weather.

Residents also took advantage of the clear skies and sun to head over to the floating pool at Barreto Point Park. The huge, converted barge was anchored at the park all summer and residents say they will be sad to see it leave with the season.
