Local colleges offers textbooks for rent

Local colleges are trying to help students cut down on school costs by offering a chance to rent textbooks for nearly half the full price.

The program offers substantial savings with a one-time rental fee rather than charging students for the cost of a new book.

Currently, only the most-used books are available for rent and if the book is lost or destroyed, then students will have to pay the full price of the book.
