Arrest made in connection to 11-year-old girl's disappearance

(09/16/10) THE BRONX - Police say they have arrested a man in connection with the disappearance of an 11-year-old Bronx girl.

They say Dawud McKelvin, 30, sent pictures of his genitals to the girl, Sahara Boyd, recently. He was arrested and charged with acting in a way that is injurious to a child under the age of 17.

According to police, Boyd was last seen leaving for school from her Balcome Avenue home early Tuesday morning. Her neighborhood is plastered with flyers pleading for help finding her.

They also said that this is the second time Boyd went missing this month, although the first went unreported.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
