Bronx bus driver burned in chemical liquid attack

(09/28/10) THE BRONX - Police say a Bronx bus driver was splashed with a chemical liquid by a passenger and rushed to the hospital yesterday.

The driver of the Bx10 bus suffered minor burns on his right cheek and chest, police say. The bus driver was leaning down when the last passenger on the bus suddenly splashed a mystery chemical on him, according to police. They say he then fled the scene.

Officials say they are looking for a 22-year-old black man weighing about 185 pounds. Anyone with any information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS
