NYCLU educates students on their civil rights

? Students at Theodore Roosevelt High School received small cards educating them on knowing their rights with school police.

The New York Civil Liberties Union handed out ?know your rights with police? palm cards as part of a forum on school policing. The cards display questions and answers letting students know if they can be arrested in school and what can happen after.

The NYCLU holds events like this one each year targeting schools with high suspension rates and a heavy police presence.
