Drivers could see jump in cost in proposed MTA toll hike

City drivers may begin to think twice about driving through the boroughs.

The next toll hike proposed by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority could raise fares for E-ZPass users by 5 percent. Those paying cash would see an increase of 18 percent.

The vast majority of drivers in New York use E-ZPass.
