Memory of Norwood fire still burns a year later

Last Halloween, billowing smoke and towering flames took down a block of businesses on Bainbridge Avenue overnight.

One year later, the formerly bustling block is largely deserted. Boards covered in graffiti and relocation signs have replaced several storefronts.

Ming Wong's Chinese restaurant was one of several destroyed. Owner Ming Lin was able to reopen, but Anna's Bakery, which sat a few doors down, wasn't so lucky.

Owner Anna Mirdita says she spent $300,000 to open a new bakery on Williamsbridge Road, but says business has been slow.
