Group launches ad campaign to fight homophobia
A new ad campaign is hitting city subways with a strong message to fight homophobia.
The "I Love My Boo" campaign is a Gay Men's Health Crisis (GMHC) initiative to combat homophobia and promote safe sex. It features eye-catching posters of black and Hispanic gay men cuddling up with each other on more than 1,000 subway cars.
The month-long campaign was paid for with grant money and the GMHC says it is in the process of applying for another grant for a similar campaign next year.
