Bronx parents rally over low state test scores

Dozens of Bronx parents gathered in Fordham today to protest students' grades on state assessment tests.

The parents rallied outside the Department of Education's District 9 headquarters, demanding the agency provide a plan to get their children back on track.

The protest comes after the city's Coalition for Educational Justice announced that three out of four students between third and eighth grade failed the state's math and English exams in that district.

Many parents say they have only recently learned their children are struggling because the Department of Education stopped printing score reports.
