Police arrest 33 in Hunts Point drug bust

Police say 33 people were arrested in a morning drug raid in Hunts Point.

FBI agents and police officers in the Bronx conducted the raid this morning at a Manida Street apartment building. They say the suspects ran the ring out of the building, as well as four houses on Irvine Street.

The U.S. district attorney says between March and July, undercover officers made more than 100 drug purchases from members of the drug ring. They say during the exchanges, they were able to buy large amounts of crack cocaine, cocaine and heroin.

Police say the suspects are between 19 and 52 years old and all live in the Bronx. All of the suspects have been charged with conspiring to distribute drugs.
