Bronx postal carrier accused of selling cocaine

(AP) - A U.S. Postal Service carrier in New York hasbeen arrested on charges that he sold cocaine while in uniform anddriving his postal truck.

Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said Wednesday that49-year-old Felix Soto is awaiting arraignment Thursday on chargesof criminal sale of a controlled substance and conspiracy.

Information about his attorney was not immediately available. Ifconvicted, he faces up to 20 years in prison.

Brown says that during a long-term narcotics investigationofficials learned that Soto had taken possession of a drug packageat a Bronx post office.

He says investigators observed Soto sitting in his postal truckon a Bronx street corner in July and handing a package containinghalf a million dollars worth of cocaine to another man.
