Woman alleges her brother's corpse was mistreated by city

Sandy McBeth filed a lawsuit against the city alleging that city morgue workers were mistreating the corpse of her brother.

The lawsuit hinges on a surveillance video which allegedly shows two morgue workers dragging the body of Robell McBeth down a set of stairs and throwing it in a van.

McBeth says when her brother died, she called the coroner's office and two technicians were dispatched to retrieve the body.

A few weeks later, her landlord showed her the video of the technicians dragging the body through the building.

McBeth says that she has only received a quick apology from the coroner?s office. She says that she only wants the city to understand that people deserve to be treated with respect in death.
