News 12 viewer's photo prompts MTA probe

The city is investigating a picture taken by a News 12 The Bronx viewer that appears to show an MTA station agent sleeping on the job.

In a statement, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority said, "There is no excuse for sleeping on the job. Appropriate action will be taken when the investigation is complete and pending the disciplinary process, the employee could be dismissed."

The employee was working at the Burnside Avenue train station when the picture was taken.
