Store owner: Alcoholic energy drinks ban would be good move

Some Bronx store owners say despite the popularity of alcoholic energy drinks, taking them off shelves is the right thing to do because of health risks that may be associated with them.

Federal regulators are looking to ban the drinks, a move that follows a decision by New York's largest beer distributors to stop selling the drinks and purge their inventory of the products.

Mohamed Albarati, the manager of 20-20 Deli on Southern Boulevard, says he supports banning the drinks.

?I back [regulators] 100 percent,? he says. ?It's really dangerous of people who don't know the effects.?
