Officers hailed for saving infant's life

A New York City Police Department sergeant and officer are being hailed as heroes this morning after saving an infant who has having trouble breathing.

Police say the child?s mother drove to the police station on Rosedale Avenue looking for help. Sgt. Rogelio Pagan and officer Jose Vargas helped clear mucus from the baby?s nose and throat.

The 14-month old was taken to Jacobi Medical Center for treatment.
