Manhattan College students help seniors stay active
Students at Manhattan College are helping Bronx seniors stay active with their new invention.
Students created products to work specifically with seniors. Some of the products include an exercise band, a pump that enables residents to fill a glass of water from their bedside pitcher, multiple gardening tables, an assisted booster chair, an arcade basketball game and a thera-band adjustable work frame.
The inventions were created as a partnership between Manhattan College and Methodist Home for Nursing and Rehabilitation. Seniors in the home will receive the products to use.
