Residents irate at collapsed catch basin

Claremont residents are irate at a collapsed catch basin in their neighborhood they say is a hazard.

Residents say the basin has been collapsed for eight years on Webster Avenue. Community Board leader Sydney Flores stepped in and put cones around the area, but says residents remove them to find parking.

The Department of Environmental Protection says it plans to fix the catch basin Monday.
