NYC officials tell BX residents to take mass transit

Trains and buses are still experiencing some delays, though. The MTA says one of its major problems is freeing buses still stuck in several feet of snow.

"We've sent out our crews to dig out buses," MTA spokesperson Deirdre Parker said. "We're working closely with the Department of Sanitation to prioritize streets and to get to certain buses to dig them out and make sure the buses we do have out there can keep running."
