DOE worker accused of endangering child

A Department of Education employee from The Bronx is now behind bars after being accused of trying to force a 15-year-old student to sell drugs.

Anthony Davis, who has been working at I.S. 98 in Crotona Park since 1999, allegedly threatened a student by knifepoint and forced him to sell marijuana, saying he and his family would face consequences if he didn't.

A Department of Education spokesperson said that there was no indication that there has been problems with Davis in the past.

The 41-year-old teacher's aide has been suspended without pay.
