Christ the King School closed after attempted robbery

A Bronx elementary school was closed today after police say the building was the target of an attempted robbery.

Officials at Christ the King School say the break-in likely occurred at around 3 a.m. The school?s alarm began to ring and the suspects likely fled, according to officials. Police say the suspects ransacked the school, but did not steal anything. Doors, windows and security gates were broken during the incident.

Police are still investigating the incident. No arrests have been made.
