Police search for suspect in convenience store robbery

Police are looking for the suspect who robbed a Bronx convenience store this morning.

Authorities say the man walked into a 24-hour deli at 3706 3rd Ave. and fired a warning shot, terrifying the young clerk and a customer. The employee then handed over all of the money in the register.

The suspect was caught on the store's surveillance camera wearing a black Yankees cap and dark hooded sweatshirt. He is described as a black male in his 40s.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
