Yankees go to bat for those less fortunate

The New York Yankees today held their annual food drive today as fans donated food to the needy and got discounts to baseball games.
Fans lined up outside of Gate 2 with their non-perishable groceries to help out the less fortunate and get vouchers for general-admission tickets or free bleacher and grandstand seats.
"For people from the tri-state area to come down and give up their resources to help people in The Bronx, I think it's a great thing," said Yankees manager Joe Girardi.
