Residents fume over lack of heat in building

As temperatures continue to drop, the residents of one building in the South Bronx say they have been without heat or hot water for months.
Some tenants at 576 East 165th St. say they have been calling the building's management and 311, but to no avail. Many of them say they are forced to keep their stoves on at night in an effort to stay warm.
Officials from the Department of Housing and Preservation say they have visited the building on several occasions and met with some of the tenants, who told them that they have adequate heating and hot water.
However, resident Muniratu Mahamadou insists that she has been living without heat since October.
