Teen back in court for allegedly assaulting MTA bus driver

Posted: Updated:

The teenager accused of assaulting an MTA bus driver in The Bronx this past June was back in court today.

Steangeli Medina allegedly dragged Marlene Bien-Aime from her seat by the hair and repeatedly hit her after she refused to let Medina's dog on board.

MTA workers from TWU Local 100 gathered outside the courthouse to support Bien-Aime. They say more security needs to be provided for all transit workers.

Medina faces up to six months in prison if convicted. Her next court appearance is scheduled for January.
