NYPD: Murders continue to rise in The Bronx

The number of murders in The Bronx continues to rise, according to NYPD statistics.

Since last year, there has been an 11-percent increase in murders in the community.

One Bronx mother who lost her only son to gun violence is staging a mass vigil on Dec. 4 to commemorate the one-year anniversary of her son's murder.

Joann Soto says that the vigil is not just for her son Londell, but for the entire community to remember victims of violence, and to realize that the rise in violent crime is an issue that affects an entire community.
