Police: Man found bound, beaten to death

Police are searching for a group of suspects who allegedly abducted and killed a man whose body was found bound and severely beaten last night.

Authorities say they responded to a 911 call at 3908 Bronx Blvd. at around 10:45 p.m. Witnesses say that a group of men beat a Hispanic man, forced him into a car and fled the scene.

According to officials, the 44-year-old victim was found two hours later on the corner of Ellis and Waterbury avenues with his hands tied behind his back. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The medical examiner's office is still working to determine the exact cause of death. Police have yet to release the victim's name, pending the notification of his family.
