Mobile market rolls into Melrose to help those in need

Posted: Updated:

City Harvest's mobile market rolled into Melrose today to help those in need get the food they need for Thanksgiving.

City Harvest says it is planning on handing out more than 20,000 pounds of food for the holiday season.

"It's necessary because you can't really afford it at the supermarket because prices go so high," says Bernadette Rosales.

"There's a great deal of need, especially at this time of the year," says City Harvest Executive Director Jilly Stephens. "And so one of the things City Harvest can do is just move as much food as possible."

City Harvest wasn't just handing out food; it also had chefs on hand to teach residents ways to cook food in tasty and healthy ways.
