P.S. 72 students march against bullying in Throgs Neck

Posted: Updated:

An entire Throgs Neck school stormed the streets for a fourth straight year to send a powerful message against bullying.

More than 600 pre-K to fifth-grade students from P.S. 72 pounded the pavement Tuesday morning while holding signs and chanting to show there's no place for hate in their classrooms.

Many kids also wore blue as a sign of unity for their school colors as they made their way along East Tremont Avenue. The march came to an end at the school yard where chorus students sang anti-bullying themed songs.

The event is part of an initiative to get all P.S. 72 students to complete three anti-bias activities each year.
