Dunkin' Donuts implements new payment policy

Dunkin' Donuts stores in The Bronx are implementing a new payment policy after a string of incidents involving counterfeit bills.

Residents will now have to show identification when paying with a $50 or $100.

The new policy comes after receiving counterfeit cash that totaled up to more than $1,000 in lost revenue.

Employees say they welcome the new policy because they end up paying with deductions in their paycheck when counterfeit money is used.

The Secret Service is encouraging business owners to take down a thorough description of the individual and then contact police or the local Secret Service field agency, if counterfeit money is suspected of being used in a transaction.
