EMTs honored for fast-moving response

Two EMTs were honored today after a teen struck in a nearly fatal hit-and-run this past August has made a full recovery thanks to them.

Raevaugn Gargner Williams, who was hit by a car this past August, thanked the responding EMTs in a ceremony earlier today. Samuel Murray and Frederic Desarno were fast-moving when transporting the critically injured teen to St. Barnabus Hospital in just six minutes.

The EMTs said that Gardner Williams had less than a 3-percent chance to live when they arrived. Gardner Williams still deals with some memory loss, but says he plans on attending college in January to become a lawyer.
