City unleashes new way to track your pooch

A new website is helping dog owners track their pooch if he or she gets lost.

The city?s website lets owners track registered dogs, but only if the dog is licensed and neutered.

It costs $8.50 to get a dog registered instead of the $200 it would cost if the pup is caught without a license. The city mails owners a tag with the dog?s number on it. If a dog runs away, owners can enter the license number online to see if he or she has been found.

Dog owners say that the e-locator website has them resting a little easier.
