Deadline looms for businesses affected by water main break

Today is the last day for Jerome Avenue business owners affected by July?s massive water main break to apply for aid from the city.

For many, staying in business is a race against time. "After that happened, I couldn't even work for a month or more. All the merchandise is damaged right now. I have no money to grow the business again,? says business owner Luis Montas.

The city says the help can take anywhere from six months to 3 years.
