Bronx students head back to school

With sharpened pencils and new notebooks at the ready, most city students are set to head back to school this week.

Most Catholic schools in The Bronx open today, while public schools will open tomorrow.

New York State Education Commissioner John King challenged students to use this new start to excel in reading and writing, and challenged parents to engage their children on what they learn each day.
