Advocate asks for open investigation into bus company
The City Public Advocate is calling on schools Chancellor Dennis Walcott to open an investigation into a bus company, after a nightmare bus ride in The Bronx.
Earlier this month, special needs students were left on a bus more than three hours on the first day of school. The Department of Education said the driver got sick and couldn't complete the route. The bus company, Lonero, says parents were notified about the sick driver.
But De Blasio says several parents had no idea what was going on, and some students are still terrified.
