Woodlawn Meals On Wheels to reach more people

Thanks to a $50,000 grant from the state, the Emerald Isle Society is now able to reach more seniors through its Meals On Wheels program.

The group says it currently reaches 38 seniors through its program, but it expects the number to grow with the new funding.

Seniors receive hot food and company from volunteers through the program, and volunteers say they're happy to lend a hand.
