Poll: Bloomberg approval rating up in The Bronx

More New Yorkers are giving high marks to Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

A NY1-Marist Poll released Tuesday found 36 percent of New Yorkers say he's doing a good job and 10 percent rate his performance as excellent.

His approval rating is up in the Bronx as 48 percent gave him above average marks -- a 17 percent jump from August.

One official behind the poll says the mayor's role in the Sept. 11 anniversary and his handling of Hurricane Irene may be responsible for the uptick.
