Quick-moving storms tear through The Bronx

Quick-moving thunderstorms moved through The Bronx Thursday, taking down trees and causing power outages throughout the borough.

The storms moved through the area quickly, but left lots of destruction, ripping down trees and power lines. On the roads, crews rushed to clear storm drains as the rain fell. Flooding on the Henry Hudson Parkway caused traffic to stand still for more than two hours.

The worst of the storms have passed through, with conditions drying out during the rest of the evening.
