Principal of Our Lady of Mount Carmel School fired

The principal of Our Lady of Mount Carmel school was let go today after allegations surfaced that his opinions and writings have ties to the white supremacist movement.

In a statement, the New York Archdiocese said that Frank Borzellieri was fired from the Bronx Catholic school following an internal review of the beliefs expressed in his books and columns.

A spokesperson for the Archdiocese says the superintendent of schools will now assist the parish in selecting a new, qualified principal for the upcoming academic school year.
